Owl Creek Produce Auction Committee presents special day with two speakers - January 16, 2021 at 9:00am

Interested in farming on small or larger scale?  Wanting to spend more time with your family and encourage the next generation to be good stewards of creation?

Owl Creek Produce Auction Committee presents

“Farming Heritage” by David Kline (retired dairy farmer)

and

“Our Forefather’s Farm” by Raymond Yoder (retired produce farmer)

January 16, 2021 at 9:00am

Address: Elmer Brenneman, 5251 County Road 80, Fredericktown, OH 43019

Please RSVP with Andy Miller or at Owl Creek Produce Auction office.

David Kline, a retired dairy farmer, will stimulate our interest with his knowledge of our farm heritage and how our practices rejuvenate the soil in order that we do not need as many modern practices with their expenses.  He will share practices passed down as our heritage from our European ancestors.

Raymond Yoder, a retired produce farmer, will introduce the idea of how today with a few acres we can build a family farm similar to the way our forefathers did.  With milking cow, a few pigs, a flock of chickens, and some produce, working with and for the family is still possible on a farm.

Come and glean wisdom from these two experienced family farmers and enjoy new knowledge from our current farmers in casual conversations before and after.  Go home encouraged with resources for beginning or continuing your adventure on the family farm.
